8th Annual Michèzo! International Festival

AMiBA Afrika Musique Internternational Black Arts presents the 8th annual Michèzo!™ International Festival.
Michèzo! is an interactive celebration of traditional African cultural arts, highlighting African folk music, dance, drumming, food, storytelling and childhood games created through the ingenuity of African people. Michèzo! returns to its Toronto Island home the 3rd Saturday of August each year!
Please be aware that we're now at Hanlan's Point, near the island airport.

Sunday August 29 – Afrika Djelly™ jam session
Toronto's groundbreaking, one-of-a-kind party returns like no-one else can do! This time a late-night TV format featuring African comedy, special guest appearances (we're not allowed to say who!), dinner, once-in-a-lifetime performances, top artists and a 3-Dj African dance party: highlife, zouk, coup decalé... as we've always said, "bring two pairs of shoes."
TTC Directions
- Take the LRT from Union Station 1 stop to the foot of Bay St. and Queens Quay, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel.
- Enter Toronto Ferry Docks on Queens Quay via walkway between Harbour Castle Westin Hotel and Harbour Castle condominiums.
- Take the HANLAN'S POINT FERRY—it's only 12 minutes

Getting to the Ferry Docks By Car
Parking is available 1 block north at Lakeshore and Bay, or 1 block west on Queens Quay between Bay and York Sts., or 1 block east opposite Toronto Star building adjacent to Captain Johns restaurant.
Toronto Island Ferry Information
- Ferries to Hanlan's Point run every 30 minutes (full Hanlan's Point Ferry Schedule).
- Important: Don't take the Centre Island or Ward's island ferries by mistake, or you'll have a long walk.
- Fares are: Adults $6.50, Students/Seniors $4.00, Juniors (under 14) $3.00, Children (under 2) Free. Bicycles are allowed on the ferry.
